Booking terms & policies

The useful small print.

What happens when you miss a class, need to cancel, or have a health concern – set out clearly before you book.

Still small print in spirit. Just no squinting required.

The short version

  • Payment secures your place
  • Catch-ups happen within the current season
  • Tell Heather early when circumstances change
  • Practise within your own limits

Unsure how a policy applies to you? Please ask before booking. Humans are better at context than policy pages.

01

Bookings for group yoga classes

  1. Class fees are non-refundable and non-transferable for change of mind once a discounted season booking has been made.
  2. If you miss a class through illness or other circumstances, you may attend another class during the current season, subject to space.
  3. Unused classes from season bookings or part-season enrolments cannot be rolled into a later season.
  4. A place can only be held once payment is complete.
  5. Part-season enrolments are available subject to space. Please provide the dates you will be present or away. Otherwise, book casually or book the full season and use catch-up classes for sessions missed during that season.

02

Credits & refunds

  • Credits and refunds are not usually issued for classes missed because of general illness; the catch-up option above applies.
  • Under exceptional circumstances – such as major surgery, severe injury or a death in the family – a credit or refund may be offered at Simple As Pi Yoga & Meditation’s discretion.
  • Please make contact as soon as possible. Credits can only begin from the date of contact, not for classes already missed. Bank-processing fees cannot be included in a full or partial refund.
  • A note from your health practitioner stating that you are unfit to participate may be required for a request related to injury, surgery or another major health issue.
  • No refunds or credits are available for online courses once the course has begun and full access to its content has been provided.

03

Cancellations

If Simple As Pi cancels a class, the available options are considered in this order:

  1. Attend a different class that week, or another week during the current season, subject to space.
  2. Practise via live stream if face-to-face classes must temporarily close.
  3. Receive a credit to use at another time.
  4. Receive a refund for the affected class.

Please contact Heather as soon as practical to arrange a credit or refund. Unless you make contact, Simple As Pi will assume you have used the alternate-class or online option.

  • Retreat, course and workshop refunds may only be available when you cancel at least 14 days before the event and your place can be filled.
  • If Simple As Pi cancels a retreat, course or workshop, your payment will be refunded as soon as practical.

04

Health & participation

  • If you have health concerns, consult your health practitioner before participating. Discuss your condition and any special requirements with your teacher.
  • You should feel comfortable throughout class. If you experience pain, stop immediately and seek advice from the teacher.
  • By confirming a booking, you acknowledge that Simple As Pi instructors cannot provide medical advice. It is your responsibility to consult a physician before commencing class, practise within your personal limits and decide whether to follow the guidance offered.
  • Although reasonable efforts are made to support health and safety, participation may involve risk of damage, loss, injury or death. Acknowledging that risk is a condition of participation.

Important: Yoga and yoga therapy can complement healthcare, but do not replace diagnosis or medical treatment.

05

Temporary delivery changes

The live-site policy includes the following provisions for COVID-19 or related public-health restrictions:

  • Booking a class confirms acceptance of any additional COVID-19 plan and policies published by Simple As Pi Yoga & Meditation.
  • Conditions may change with the situation and government regulations. Please check this page for updates.
  • If face-to-face classes must temporarily cease, participants agree to practise via live stream where that option is provided.
