Frequently asked questions:

What are your classes like?
Every week is a little different, as I write my own sequences to support the various ages and abilities of my students. Although the poses may differ from week to week, I maintain a focus on strength, stability, relaxation and the breath. I gently guide my students through each pose, offering cues and variations to enable them to connect with their bodies and to move in a way that is aligned with their needs on that day. Each class finishes with a relaxation, which students often say is their favourite part of the class.

It’s generally hard for me to commit to a block of classes due to my roster. How do you cater for shift workers?
I have tried to make it as easy as possiblr for you to be able to take some time out for yourself and attend a yoga class. Once you are booked in for the term, you have the option to swap between Tuesdays and Thursdays, depending on your roster. You can also join me online from home if you aren’t on shift that day or have a change of plans. If you miss a class, you can do a make-up session on a different day.

I still don’t think I can commit to a block of classes.
That’s absolutely fine. You are very welcome to attend on a casual basis. I recommend this to anyone who hasn’t attended my classes before. That way you can get a clear sense of what I am offering each week. The casual rate is $15 per class.

How much notice do I need to give you if I plan to attend a class?
If you can contact me 36 hours before you plan to attend, that is ideal. This gives me enough time to confirm space availability or provide you with the relevant information to attend online.

Do the classes run all year round?
I run the classes in alignment with WA state school terms. There are usually 4 x 10 week terms each year. Taking school holiday breaks helps keep my teaching fresh, and empowers my students to try to practice independently

I’m not to familiar with the Education building where inside are the classes held?
Seminar Room 1.6 is on level 1 of the building. As you exit the lift turn left and then take your first right. Follow the corridor all the way to the end and you will see the door open to the seminar room. It is a lovely space with large windows and a balcony.

I have a few more questions can you call me or can I call you?
I’d be very happy to answer your questions, so please get in touch with me.
